The LHBTA is a not-for-profit volunteer run group whose members are made up of area businesses. It was formed to establish a group of interested local business folk who realized the benefit of working together to share their resources and talents to obtain for themselves and Lanark Highlands, a strong cooperative base for tourism and business marketing and development. As a group, LHBTA has been able to achieve these aims and give firm support to projects when and where it has been requested.

LHBTA is an accredited association whose members provide warm hospitality and efficient services and information when it is requested, to both local residents and tourism organizations, together with the visitors who take vacations in the area.
